Pox on all their houses! With players like these, blogging will be gr8 in '08!
Is there anything left that we as people can still do right? It seems we have the tendency to care more about "Christmas shopping" (do think about these words, really... imagine Christ as a bargain hunter) than for those close to us, dying from war, poverty, disease, slavery, water scarcity and other useless reasons. Merry Christmas (seems Christ was merry too, must be cuz he was being tortured to death)! It seems we as people are looking for fun, dance, romance and luxury on a mass grave of injustice and inequality when we don't even have the basic capabilities to be 'civil' in any real sense of the word.
This one is dedicated to the self-acclaimed peoplepleasers that are politicians and corporations. How about giving the people what they really need in 2008? How about giving water to Africa instead of selling Coca-Cola in the West? How about helping the people make a real change in the new year? How about spending trillions on renewable energy and removing all the weapons of the world? How about we stop buying the life we don't need and start giving what life needs from us? It's so hard to find our way....
Wow, somebody call the senile police. Bill Cunningham has lost his mind. Hannity doesn't seem to notice.... Great journalism, Fox.
Mike Huckabee and Rudy Giuliani released quite embarrassing christmas ads recently. There's something very creepy about seeing these stupid white men acting all nice, cuddly and understanding in their red sweaters and I know why. It's because they're the same men who support Bush in his unjust war in Iraq. They would torture their enemies, spy on their countrymen and shut off the borders to their neighbours only to commend everyone else to stick with the ten commandments. Pitiful to say the least.
People people, if you were ever looking for a fool, I give you... Sean Hannity. Let's run down 10 minutes of "Hannity and Colmes"-airtime and point out the total BS and inconsistencies this idiot brings out.
Grodin: ...don't say a Hollywood veteran is going to talk about the presidential election. Who said that? I 'm not going to talk about the election, that's for ratings.
Hannity: No that's to defeat Hillary ... She's terrible for this country ... any of the republicans are infinitely better than her higher taxes, her weakness on terror, her retreat from Iraq, her open borders and her destruction of the healthcare system.
[1) any republican?! 2) infinitely?! 3) Hillary, weak?! 4) the borders are already open 5) the healthcare system is already broke. Please do continue, Sean!]
Hannity:...it's not about ratings, it's about what we care about. You're insinuating it's about ratings
[Major BS alert!]
Hannity: ...left-wing extremist Charles Grodin...
Grodin: right-wing fascist Sean Hannity
Hannity:...that is so insulting!
Grodin:..if I had asked you for a mistake for my book, what would it be?
Hannity: ...I'm Christian, I think you should admit your mistakes, humble yourself...
Hannity:..I was in trouble all the time as a kid... until I was...21...
[Major BS alert again]
Grodin: Were you indicted?
Hannity: Never... arrested? No.
[Hannity cannot admit one, he's definitely a bad Christian by this point]
Grodin: I'll tell you the lesson I learned. That even though sometimes you think you're right, like you always do...
Hannity: I do not!
[Hahahaha! He just did! Again!]
Grodin: Would you aknowledge there's too much bomb-throwing from right and left?
Hannity: Yeah, from Nancy Pelosi, (inaudible) and Harry Reid and John Murtha and John Kerry
Grodin: How about all the right-wing people like Sean Hannity?
Hannity: No, show me one example
[Hannity is so full of BS I can almost smell it]
Hannity: Give me one example where I've been a bomb-thrower
Grodin: Look at the five names you just mentioned as bomb-throwers, they're all democrats
[Forget about that, just take a look at the five minutes of airtime you just filled with your empty head and hateful rhetoric, Sean!]
The increase in incomes of the top 1 percent of Americans from 2003 to 2005 exceeded the total income of the poorest 20 percent of Americans, data in a new report by the Congressional Budget Office shows. (In other words: the richest percent got a pay raise bigger than the pay check of the poorest 20 percent)
The poorest fifth of households had total income of $383.4 billion in 2005, while just the increase in income for the top 1 percent came to $524.8 billion, a figure 37 percent higher.
No need to panic folks. We know we can rest assured that the wealthy will invest it all into multiplying our outsourced jobs in Asia and buying even more raw materials from undemocratic countries in Africa and elsewhere. Meanwhile the American deficit is $9 trillion. And then they dare say Bush's tax cuts for the superrich are unjustified! Oh, the humanity.
This one is just too bad to let it pass. Michael Savage deserves his place with the stupid people. He just claimed that 90% of the people on the Nobel Committee are into child pornography and molestation. "According to the latest scientific research", he dared add!! Not only that, he stumbled over a catch phrase as well. What Savage wanted to say is "capo di tutti capi", but even after 4 tries, he still couldn't make it. Better luck next time, moron. How do people like this wind up with their own talkshow on the radio, you wonder? Well, euhm, beats me!
Lewis Black has the last laugh. It boggles the mind how people can actually listen to this stuff and still vote for the same old stupid politicians as always. You know the kind, the kind that doesn't give a thing about the people and what they really need. The kind that only knows how to play the public like a guitar and gets all the right questions from the right pseudo-journalists. If people like Lewis would be White House Press Secretary, no need to hold the comments for ongoing investigations, just grab a pen and hold on to it for dear life!
Alrighty, was I in total shock and awe to see justice, egality and civil rights as Bush sees them. Warning: I was breathless after only 55 seconds. I have read of many crazy and stupid things but "Bush-legislation" really beats the bunch.
...the administration has politicized the Justice Department in an effort to expand its own power(You don't say?!)
...but since Bush took office the administration has turned the Civil Rights Division against the very people it was designed to protect.... turning pro-African American court cases into cases against dicrimination of whites and christians(go figure!)
Damn it, I'm already sick, again.
Keith Olbermann with the special comment of the week everybody. George Bush (still!) has no business being president. Why? Well, there's the 2000 election, the war in Iraq, Katrina, torture, illegal wiretapping, giving tax cuts for the rich while running a deficit from here to Mars and, well...lying about almost everything. Have your pick.
Dana Perino pulls another White House Press Secretary classic: not commenting on an ongoing investigation. Usually a story like this continues to go uncommented, until we've passed the quiet ending of the investigation with no results whatsoever. Then, Dana's excuse will change from not commenting on ongoing investigations to not commenting on matters that have been 'fully investigated and spit out' by whatever committee they put in place themselves. From the CIA to the Congress to the White House, mostly nothing but stupid white men and women it seems...
The good news: we know now the 'opinions' under which the Bush administration has been 'administrating' for the last seven years. The bad news: the 'opinions' under which the Bush administration has been 'administrating' for the last seven years.... an excerpt
The real assault on Christmas, however, is an excessive consumer culture that has turned a holy season into a celebration of commercialism and materialism. By focusing our attention on shopping malls and the consumerism that accompanies Christmas, this misguided campaign further distracts us from the real message of the holiday.
Ow, irony. Jesus died on a cross for our sins, only so we could 'honor' him by committing some more sins on his 'holiday'. Aren't we the worst?
The worst persons in the world, caught on air. Apparently there's even people stupid enough to believe that Jesus Christ predates the Greek civilisation and that nothing, nobody predates the Christians.... Look who got left behind in first grade. If these people don't know the first thing of history, why on earth are they discussing it... on TV!? Ofcourse they're not the only ones...
